Budri describes the functions of several of the practitioners: sirha (shaman), ɡunea (one who divines using grains of rice), pʰudʒari (priest), pʰudʒarin (wife of priest), põdʒear (one who divines from a sacred book) in response to our queries about them. The text itself is predominately procedural as Budri talks about what needs to be done (should be done) in certain circumstances. Elements of descriptive exposition also occur.
