There are two versions of this text, one by Durga and one by Chingaru. As the texts are very similar, they probably collaborated as they wrote about the festival.
The podər tʃeɡni festival involves a lot of swearing by the young boys. This particular type of swearing is classified as bakna 'taboo' and only to be spoken between males and not for women's hearing. This bad language is not same as the mae loʈea swearing, which is only for when there is a fight. 1974.
